Established in 2017, WBDF emerged from the urgent need to address the rising tide of violence against doctors and the growing assault on professional autonomy in West Bengal’s healthcare system. Since then, WBDF has been at the forefront of a relentless struggle against violence in healthcare, administrative and bureaucratic highhandedness, lack of transparency in healthcare institutions, rampant corruption, and nepotism that undermine both patient care and professional integrity.
